Founded by partners Dante Walkup and Mark Reed, Wiedamark was born out of their shared vision and passion for LED lighting solutions. The story began in their home in Dallas, Texas on March 21, 2003. Both seasoned architects, they recognized the immense potential of LED technology and made the bold decision to shift gears, leaving behind successful professional careers to establish a company that would revolutionize the world of lighting.
Their commitment to excellence and innovation yielded immediate success, and soon enough, their humble 3-car garage and basement could no longer contain their ever-expanding inventory and growing team. Today, Wiedamark boasts a stunning showroom in downtown Dallas and a warehouse housing over $1,000,000 worth of cutting-edge LED lighting solutions.
In November 2012, Wiedamark achieved a milestone that epitomized their dreams – relighting the iconic Reunion Tower with state-of-the-art LED lighting technology. The resounding success of the Reunion Tower project propelled them to undertake more groundbreaking LED installations throughout downtown Dallas, including the historic Davis Building on Main Street.
Two years ago, in 2021, the reins of Wiedamark were passed to Mike Kuntz and Joshua Goldade. Both seasoned architects with a shared passion for LED innovation, Mike and Joshua have brought fresh energy and creativity to the company. Their impressive portfolio of LED projects across the country reflects their dedication to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with LED technology.
